How Much Does a Wedding Video Cost in Essex in 2026?

If you're getting married in Essex, you're realistically looking at anywhere between £900 and £3,500 for wedding videography, depending on what you actually get. That's a big range, so let's break down why, and what your money is really paying for.

The honest Essex price guide

At the cheaper end, around £900 to £1,200, you'll usually find one videographer, shorter coverage, and a single highlight film. Sometimes that's a solo operator just starting out, sometimes it's someone doing it on the side. It can be fine for a small, relaxed day. In the middle, around £1,400 to £2,200, you get a proper professional setup. Better cameras, longer coverage, sometimes a second shooter, a highlight film plus your full ceremony and speeches. At the top end, £2,500 and up, you're paying for the full experience. Two videographers all day, multiple cinema cameras, drone, teaser trailers, social reels, the lot.

What actually drives the price up

It's not random. Here's what you're really paying for when one quote is double another.

Number of shooters. One videographer can only be in one place. While they're filming you walk down the aisle, nobody's on your partner's face reacting. Two shooters means every moment gets covered from two angles, all day. That's a huge quality difference and it costs more because it's two skilled people, not one.

The cameras. "I have a camera" and "I shoot on professional cinema cameras" are not the same thing. Proper kit, backed up on the day so nothing's ever lost, is a real cost. Our team shoots on Canon Cinema Cameras for exactly this reason. You can see the difference for yourself on our films page.

Drone coverage. A licensed drone pilot adds those sweeping shots of your venue. But here's the thing most couples don't know: not every videographer is legally allowed to fly one. More on that below.

Editing time. This is the bit nobody sees. A good film can take 40 to 60 hours to edit. That's someone sitting at a desk for over a week, cutting, colour grading, syncing audio, choosing music. A quick word on drones and the law

If a drone matters to you, ask one question before you book anyone: are you CAA approved?

Loads of videographers fly drones. Far fewer are actually licensed and insured to do it legally at a wedding venue. If they're not approved and something goes wrong, that's a problem you don't want anywhere near your day. We're fully CAA approved, so it's covered and legal.

Why video and photo together is usually the smarter spend

Here's something worth knowing if you haven't booked your photographer yet either.

Booking them separately means two deposits, two teams who've never met, two styles that might not match, and two lots of admin. Booking them together usually works out better value and far less hassle.
