After having our pre-wedding zoom call, I knew Sarah & Alec's wedding was going to be one to remember. They'd booked the lovely "Captains Woods Barn" in Maldon which is a family run manor house with gorgeous converted barns for weddings.
I recently found out that the venue only host 12 weddings a yeah so it was an honour to have been chosen by the couple to film this epic wedding.
The ceremony was a woodland vibe with a celebrant blessing rather than a traditional registrar ceremony. The celebrant was Zoe and she was simply amazing. She'd clearly taken a large amount of time to get to know Sarah & Alec and had written such lovely words about their relationship.
I'm not sure if I can put into words how epic this venue is. It's a proper rustic style barn with metal shutters and retro furniture. It just works so well and looks amazing. The video below should give you a better insight into how brilliant the venue is.
The couple invited us to eat dinner with the guests. The venue don't supply catering so you have to employ your own. Sarah & Alec has literally closed down the local turkish takeaway so they could cater their wedding!
One last notable thing about the venue. They have a massive tractor kinda people carrier where they run little tours for your guests of the magnificent grounds during drinks reception. Anyway, here's the video!
